Meetings

Let’s be honest, most meetings are too long and unproductive.

The simple reason is that attendees are unprepared in 3 ways:

First in agenda before the meeting…

Second in decisiveness during the meeting; and…

Third, in following through after the meeting.

Make sure the next meeting you arrange has…

a definite purpose,…

high expectations from all those involved,…

establishes ownership of action…

and follows through with a conclusive time period.

Try placing ‘Any Other Business’ at the top of the agenda for a change and rename it: ‘Any New Business.’

Items that do not relate to new business development should already belong to someone for decision and action.
In business the bottom line – the own that really counts – only benefits when your time is productively invested in doing business, not proposing it.

If your meetings are already productive, great; if not, then you need to change them…

Because business is not about meetings, and the number you attend is not proportionate to success.
