Agincourt

Coincidentally I am writing this Business Bullet at Agincourt where, 595 years ago Henry V won the famous battle that bears the same name.

As an example of utilizing Strategy, Teamwork, and Leadership to win through against all the odds - in this case 5 to 1 against winning - it is a good one.

But there was a fourth element that Henry leveraged, and certainly it was the key that won the day.

It was of course...

leveraging your strengths to gain a winning edge.

Without the ′Long-Bow Archers" the battle would most certainly have been lost.

The best cutting and competitive edge a professional has in the turbulent marketplace is playing to his or her strengths.

Most professionals do one or two things exceptionally well, everything else they should delegate.

The question to ask is: Are you really fulfilling your role effectively...

...to the very best of your strengths?

Because it is the very best action to make a difference in what you do.
